Software for creating slowmations

Since slowmation was created four years ago, a number of software programs have been used. Keeping in mind the need for accessible software, we have always used programs that are relatively easy to use and if possible free. We started with QuickTime Pro for Mac and PC, then used Windows Movie Maker for PC.

We now prefer to use SAM Animation developed by Brian Gravel and his team at Tufts University Center for Engineering Educational Outreach in Medford, MA in the USA, because it is user-friendly, free and works on both a Mac and PC. The same slowmation process applies no matter what software you use.
